M. Robinson Artwork is the collaboration of Mary Ann and Michael Robinson Holmes... creating unique art forms through the layering of materials.
How did M. Robinson Artwork get its name? Michael Holmes already had a style of art that was more figurative such as architecture, buildings, bicycles, guitars, and simple heart images. He always wanted to develop an abstract line, and after several years of experimentation, he developed the multi-step process to create his deconstructive paintings. Since they are significantly different than his original line, he named them M. Robinson...M for Michael & Mary Ann (since they create them together) and Robinson, from his middle name.
The sizes range from 12x12 to 48x48, etc. Every painting they create is original, and no two pieces are ever exactly the same. If you're inspired by something you see here, contact us at the gallery, and we can have a custom piece commissioned in the dimensions and color palette you desire. We'd love to get you your own original M. Robinson Artwork. Enjoy the art!
